Cleaning device for cylinders of printing presses

The cleaning device has at least one washing roll which can be moved up to and away from the cylinder. This roll is in the form of a brush roll (1). Cleaning fluid can be sprayed onto it from a spray jet (6). The roll is covered in alternating straight and corrugated bristles (2,3), in 50-50 proportion. The corrugation length of the corrugated bristles produce four amplitudes of 1.7 cm each, with an amplitude depth of about 0.5 mm. All the bristles may be made of polyamide.
