The roller system on which the flushing carriage travels, allows normal longitudinal motion, with in addition, some freedom of transverse movement. Preferred Features: Roller axes are each parallel to a roller assembly. Roller axes of roller assemblies (10, 11) at opposite ends of the carriage (7) are perpendicular to each other. Rollers of respective roller assemblies are opposite each other, and enclose their rails. Roller assemblies for each degree of freedom, have at least two roller pairs spaced along the relevant direction of motion. Each corresponding rail is a rectangular profile, especially a square tube section. The guide rollers are profiled to fit the rail. The roller assembly (the top one) with two degrees of freedom has rollers on either side of a guide, with both degrees of freedom parallel to its plane. The roller assembly has three rollers, on both sides of the section. The guide section is a length of angle, its other limb being fastened to the filter bag housing.
