An Independent claim is also included for the production of a dental casting, in whcih the melting crucible and the casting muffle are evacuated independently of one another. Preferred Features: The crucible chamber (21) and the muffle chamber (22) are separated gas-tight from one another. Separation of the chambers is at least partially liftable for the casting process to take place. There is a closable opening (28) between the chambers. Its closure takes place by means of a pivotable, preferably gas-tight visor.
