Manually and reversibly emulsifiable hair- or scalp-treatment composition free of organic emulsifiers

An organic emulsifier-free composition for hair or scalp-treatment consisting of at least 2 immiscible, liquid phases has droplets visible to the naked eye and is such that it can be shaken manually to give a stable fine emulsion or pseudo-emulsion for application, the emulsion being capable of being returned spontaneously and reversibly to the original droplet structure. The composition comprises: (A) a continuous phase with water, a hydrophilic organic solvent or an optionally water-containing organic hydrophilic solvent mixture as solvent; (B) a hydrophobic liquid-containing discontinuous phase in the form of droplets visible and separately distinguishable to the naked eye, i.e. of diameter of at least 1mm; and (C) a dispersant comprising a finely-divided inorganic solid powder which is insoluble in the composition.
