PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the speech device for a telephone set that is easily handled. SOLUTION: The speech device for a telephone set that consists of a microphone 2, a speaker 1, a connection electrode terminal 4 connecting with a voice signal input output terminal 3 provided to a main body MU of the telephone set, the microphone 2 and the speaker 1 interconnected by a signal line, is provided with a winding body 7 that winds up the signal line 5 in a extractable way, with a speech device case 6 that uses the winding body 7 to wind up and that contains the signal line 5. The winding body 7 energizes the signal line 5 toward a winding direction into the speech device case 6, the speech device case 6 is provided with a winding state switching means that selects the winding of the signal line 5 to be a permitting state or a blocking state, and a speech command switch CS to instruct start of a speech is provided to the main body MU of the telephone set.
