Switchgear with one or more compartments e.g with container rooms for accommodating switch- and control-gear and cable terminal rooms for receiving cable terminals, and with discharge channels for removal of hot arcing products of decomposition to outside, in the event of a disruptive arc, for cooling and pressure reduction through given blow-out apertures to the external environment. The blow-out channels (AO) are gas-permeably closed by a filter device (FE), the filter devices being arranged in housings (FG) and provided with at least two gas-permeable support elements (SE) arranged approximately at right-angles to the through-flow direction. Gas-permeable filter-mats (FM) are arranged between the individual support elements (SE).
