PURPOSE: A method for attaching a permanent magnet installed in an electric motor is provided to simplify a manufacturing process by removing a separate process of attaching an interpole. CONSTITUTION: A permanent magnet(12) is made of a rare earth alloy containing one or more of elements consisting of transition metal, boron, carbon, and nitrogen. The permanent magnet is attached to a stator(10). An attachment unit(20) is installed around the stator on which the permanent magnet(12) is attached. A high current is applied to the attachment unit to attach the permanent magnet. An interpole part(14) having a weak opposite polarity is formed on one side of the permanent magnet. The attachment unit has a yoke(22) having an external diameter larger than that of the stator(10) to surround the stator on which the permanent magnet is installed, a core(24) being formed to face the permanent magnet which is installed on th stator on an inner peripheral surface of the yoke, and a coil being wound to form a strong magnetic field on the core.
