The sealing strip (10) is particularly for flat roofs and is formed in a single layer. Strips are connected by double-sided cold self-adhesion in the area of the longitudinal seam with their upper (18) and lower (19) cover surfaces having strip-shaped self-adhesive areas (2,3,24). The self-adhesive areas are applied to opposing edge areas of the sealing strip. One strip-shaped self-adhesive area (23) is arranged in the vicinity of a longitudinal edge (20) of a cover surface (18) and the other self-adhesive area (24) is arranged in the vicinity of an opposing longitudinal edge (20) of the other cover surface (19). An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is also included for a method of manufacturing this sealing strip. -
