PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color correction method of image data where a color of an image is changed without causing a sense of incongruity to the user and to provide a digital camera that executes the color correction method. SOLUTION: After converting color data of a planar chromaticity coordinate system obtained from image data are converted into color data of a chromaticity coordinate system approximated to a human perception characteristic, correction loci T, T' tying the converted color data and an object value in the coordinate system are calculated. Based on the correction loci, a color of the image data is changed. The color of the image data is changed based on the correction loci in the chromaticity coordinate system approximated to the human perception characteristic and then the user can sense a change in the color in a degree the same as a degree of the change.
