PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a hierarchical drawing designing device by which a workability for recognizing a lower hierarchy is reduced by describing the minute contents of parts on a high-order circuit figure in the low-order hierarchy and displaying the existence of the minute contents at every parts on the high- order circuit figure. SOLUTION: When the low-order hierarchies 22 and 28 exist in the high-order parts 20 on the high-order circuit figure 21 described in a high-order hierarchy 18, the display color of the high-order parts 20 is changed into green so that it is immediately discriminated that the low-order hierarchies 22 and 28 exist in the high-order parts 20 only by viewing the figure 21. Besides, the number of hierarchies and the number of pages in the low-order hierarchies 22 and 28 and also the data kinds of the hierarchies 22 and 28 are displayed on the high-order circuit figure 21 so that the outlines of the hierarchies 22 and 28 are recognized only by viewing the figure 21. Therefore, the existence, the number of hierarchies, the number of pages and the data kinds of low-order hierarchies 22 and 28 are easily recognized from information concerning the hierarchies 22 and 28 so that a work for recognizing them is drastically reduced.
