摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To alleviate the limit of linear recording density of a recording layer and to record/reproduce high density information by correcting a recording mark length so as to make it shorter than that of a normal code inversion interval, making correctively to the contrary the corresponding non-recording mark length longer for recording, and thereby reproducing the recording mark of the recording mark line after the correction. SOLUTION: Assuming the code inversion interval of a recording code is n and the length of one channel is T, the recording mark length of a recording mark length nT is set at (n-1.5)T, while the non-recording mark length of a non-recording mark length nT is (n+1.5)T. Concurrently with the start of recording, a modulation magnetic field corresponding to a recording DC laser power and a recording signal is impressed, the recording mark line in a recording layer in the cooling process of a magneto-optical disk is formed. A reproduction magnetic field impresses the center of the recording mark of (nmin-1.5)T, in such a phase relation as the maximum or the center time of the impressed magnetic field is situated, whose magnetic field is in the direction opposite to that of the magnetic field in the direction expanding the magnetic domain of the impressed alternating field.
