PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a coating composition for undercoating of a photocatalyst- containing coating film having a photocatalytic function, capable of preventing the deterioration of substrate caused by a photocatalyst and providing a cured body having excellent weather resistance and adhesivity. SOLUTION: This coating composition for undercoating of a photocatalyst- containing coating film comprises (a) at least one selected from the group consisting of an organosilane of the formula (R1)nSi(OR2)4-n (R are the same or different when two R1 groups exist and are each a 1-8C monofunctional organic group; R2 are the same or different and are each a 1-5C alkyl or a 1-6C acyl; n is an integer of 0-2), the hydrolyzate of the organosilane and the condensate of the organosilane and (b) a polymer having a silyl group containing a silicon atom bonded to a hydrolyzable group and/or a hydroxyl group.
