PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a deodorizing cover body for a refuse container, the cover body of which is capable of improving and sustaining a deodorizing effect, preventing dirt of a cover, and being used repeatedly by washing. SOLUTION: An elastic yarn 12 or the like is provided at an edge part 10a of a deodorizing cover body 1 composed of a nonwoven fabric 10 in a shape of a cap which has a deodorizing effect, and is removably held in relation to a cover of a refuge container or a refuse housing. By installing the deodorizing cover body 1 on the cover of the refuse container or the like, the deodorizing effect lasts, and generation of dirt and mold inside the cover can be prevented. Owing to the effect of the elastic yarn 12, installation of the deodorizing cover body 1 on and removal thereof from the refuse container become simpler. In a case where the fabric deodorizing cover body 1 becomes dirty, it can be washed for repeated uses.
