Stabilizer combination for halogenated thermoplastic resins comprises: (a) optionally surface-modified calcium (hydr)oxide; (b) tin (Sn) compound(s), with 1-2 alkyl and 2-3 organyloxy or organylthio groups, of formula (I); and (c) zinc (Zn) compound(s) selected from liquid and solid Zn salts of (un)saturated, linear or branched, mono- or poly-functional aromatic or aliphatic carboxylic acids and Zn (hydr)oxide. Stabilizer combination for halogenated thermoplastic resins comprises: (a) optionally surface-modified calcium (hydr)oxide; (b) tin (Sn) compound(s), with 1-2 alkyl and 2-3 organyloxy or organylthio groups, of formula (I); and (c) zinc (Zn) compound(s) selected from liquid and solid Zn salts of (un)saturated, linear or branched, mono- or poly-functional aromatic or aliphatic carboxylic acids and Zn (hydr)oxide. RnSn(X-R')4-n (I) n = 1 or 2; R = 1-22 carbon (C) linear or branched alkyl; X = sulfur (-S-) or oxygen (-O-); R' = 1-22 C linear or branched alkyl or an alkoxy- or alkyl-carbonylalk(en)yl or -carbonylalk(en)ylcarbonyl group of formula -(C(O))m-L-C(O)-O-R'' (IIA) or -(C(O))m-L-O-C(O)-R'' (IIB); m = 0 or 1; -L- = a divalent 1-4 C alkylene or vinylene group; R = 1-22 C alkyl; or 2 (X-R') groups together = group completing a heterocyclic ring of formula (IIIA) or (IIIB). An Independent claim is also included for thermoplastic resin compositions containing halogenated thermoplastic resin(s) and the stabilizer combination.
