PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a silicone graft copolymer that is almost free from the irritating odor due to the presence of an unsaturated group because no radically polymerizable unsaturated groups remain and that has good storage stability, is safe, and imparts the stability of quality to an article manufactured therefrom because the copolymer is not oxidized. SOLUTION: A process for producing a silicone graft copolymer comprises dissolving (a) a radically polymerizable unsaturated monomer, (b1) an organopolysiloxane having a radically polymerizable group at its end as (b) a radically polymerizable monomer for introducing a crosslinking unit, and (c) a racial polymerization initiator in an organic solvent, heating the resultant solution until the copolymerization reaction is completed, and then hydrogenating the resulting copolymer solution under pressure.
