PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make effective use of space inside an automotive door. SOLUTION: When the drive gear 11 of a window regulator is driven for counterclockwise rotation while the window regulator is in an attitude P, a rack gear 12 meshing with the drive gear 11 similarly moves counterclockwise along its own arc. Accordingly, the end of an arm 17 also moves counterclockwise, but since this movement is the total of horizontal movement and vertical movement, a roller 18 provided at the end of the arm 17 moves window glass W downward while rotating the rail 21 of a horizontal guide 20 and moving leftward. As a result, the window glass W falls. The ranges of movements of the rack gear 12 and the arm 17 are arcuate and smaller than in traditional single-arm types (fan-shaped ranges of movement), therefore widening an area in which other on-vehicle devices can be assembled, and allowing effective use of space inside a door.
