PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow an operator on a carrier of a jigback ropeway to operate, decelerate, and stop the carrier by radio transmitting data from the carrier. SOLUTION: For a jigback ropeway, a radio control part 21 for transmitting and receiving contact signals to and from a control board 22 and converting them into digital data and a radio transmitter/receiver 20 for transmitting and receiving the data are provided at a foothill stop 2 where a drive is installed. A driving operation part 16 equipped with an indicator lamp for indicating driving, decelerating and stopping operations, a radio control part 15 for converting the operations into digital data, and a radio transmitter/receiver 14 for transmitting and receiving the digital data are mounted in a carrier 10 on a ropeway track. Thus, when the carrier 10 is operated according to the data ratio transmitted therefrom, the carrier 10 and the foothill stop 2 alternately transmits and receive answer-back signals to and from each other to monitor the state of communications.
