SOLUTION: This forklift truck is formed so that a battery is stored at the front part of a body 1, an operation part 3 is provided with a recess at the rear part of the body 1, and an operator M stands on a floor 3b of the operation part 3 so as to operate an operating part 4 provided on the body 1. In this case, an opening part 2 for taking in/out a battery is provided in the front surface 1d of the body 1, the battery is moved to the opening 2 side, and a lower part 3C of a partition 3a dividing the operation part 3 from the inside of the body 1 is extended forward so as to be moved closely to the battery.
