PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an impact-resistant aromatic vinyl resin that is superior in impact resistance can gloss to conventional resins and is unlikely to be lowered in gloss even in a high temperature environment. SOLUTION: An aromatic vinyl resin is improved in quality by using a resin- improving composition comprising, as an effective component, a rubber composition which comprises 2 to 40 wt.% of a conjugated diene polymer (a) having not less than 30% of vinyl bond units in conjugated diene monomer unit and having a coupling ratio of not less than 75 wt.%, and 98 to 60 wt.% of an aromatic vinyl-conjugated diene copolymer (b) having 25 to 50 wt.% of aromatic vinyl monomer units.
