PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide foundation structure for a detached house in which the excavation of a ground and the disposal of surplus soil with the excavation may be reduced extremely in the case of the construction of foundation structure. SOLUTION: A mat foundation 10 installed in the case of the construction of the detached house contains a mat foundation 11, in which a plane shape is formed in a square shape and a top face is flattened and which is made of concrete, and an outer frame foundation 11-1 for underground burying is formed to a section corresponding to the edge section of the mat foundation so as to be extended downwards while the partition foundation 11-2 for a beam partitioning the internal region of the outer frame foundation in a latticed shape is formed so as to be extended downwards. Downward extension length of the outer frame foundation is made longer than that of the partition foundation, and only the longer section is buried into a ground and the lower end section of the partition foundation is brought into contact with a ground surface. Accordingly, foamed styrene members 12 are laid in spaces formed among the ground surface, the outer frame foundation and the partition foundation.
