Exemplary uses include: Tactical illumination and obscuration for military, law enforcement and private security; special effects lighting for the entertainment industry; architectural and commercial lighting, both interior and exterior.

a rotating source of light carried by a housing; a central control unit carried by said housing, operatively coupled to and controlling operation of said rotating source of light; a master control unit operatively coupled, to said central control unit, said master control unit communicating command signals from said master control unit to said central control unit.
