PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a key switch device capable of applying to the smaller and thinner figure of a keyboard and assuring sufficient key strokes. SOLUTION: A key switch device comprises first and second link members 4, 5 movably connected to each other, locked to respective locking portions of a key top 2 formed of synthetic resin and a holder member 7 formed of a thin metal plate for guide-supporting the move-up and -down of the key top 2, a printing board 9 arranged under the holder member 7 and having a switching portion, a rubber spring 6 arranged to cover the switching portion for energizing the key top 2 upward and a reinforcing plate 10 for supporting the printing board 9 and the rubber spring 6.
