PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To restrain the protruding length of the rear end of a counter weight from a base carrier to ensure the mount of an additional counter weight on the counter weight. SOLUTION: Additional counter weight mounting bosses 31, 38 are arranged on the upper surface part 28C of a counter weight 28 so as to locate on the rear side from hoisting accessory mounting bosses 34, 35. According to this, since the counter weight 28 can be arranged adjacently to a prime motor 5, and the rotating radius of a super structure 2 can be also minimized, an excavation work can be efficiently performed even in a relatively narrow working site while rotating the super structure 2. Further, in an excavation work in the state where an opening and closing cover 6A is retained in a closed position, an additional counter weight 39 can be mounted on the counter weight 28 by use of the additional counter weight mounting bosses 37, 38, and the stability of the body in the excavation work can be ensured.
