The access control uses a transponder fitted in a ring worn on the user's finger and communicating with a radio access control device integrated into a human-computer interface peripheral. The user need perform no special operations, simply moving the hands to an interface peripheral is sufficient. Because the hand is in close proximity to the interface device, a low power transponder suffices.
