PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily manufacture high-purity II type ammonium polyphosphate(APP) and to provide a method for manufacturing the fine II type APP. SOLUTION: This method comprises manufacturing the II type APP by heat treating an ammonium polyphosphate mixture composed of V type APP and the II type APP at 160 to 240 deg.C.
