PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a supervisory object determining system and a recording medium therefor, with which each of plural servers can spontaneously determine a sever to become a supervisory object when the respective servers monitors each of servers in relay style. SOLUTION: When starting this supervisory object determining system, a supervisory part 104 recognizes the starting time of a present system with a clock 102 and judges whether a primary server exists in the other severs or not. When the existence of the primary server is judged, the starting time of the supervisory object determining system except for the present system is acquired from this primary server, and ranking of all the servers is determined on the basis of the acquired starting time and the starting time of the present system are stored in a table 103. While referring to ranking stored in the table 103, the supervisory part 104 determines the server of ranking preceding to that of the server, which is loaded with the present system, as a supervisory object server.
