PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recyclable recording material from which a printing material such as a toner can be removed in a good state and in which the performance to remove an image is hardly decreased even when the material is left to stand for a long time in a high humidity environment. SOLUTION: The recyclable recording material consists of at least a base layer and a water-swelling surface layer, and the difference between the glass transition point of the surface layer at 25 deg.C and 85% RH and the glass transition point of the surface layer in a dry state is <=15 deg.C.
