PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink jet head having water repellency, high wear resistance and ejection performance of ink drops being hardly deteriorated and superior in reliability and to provide a method of making the same. SOLUTION: There is disclosed the ink jet printer head that ejects ink drops from a nozzle formed on a nozzle face. The head has a self organizing film layer consisting of a metallic layer including a metal formed on the nozzle face and a polycyclic thiol compound formed on the metallic layer.
