PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bathing assisting device which can be additionally installed inexpensively and easily to an already existing existing ordinary household bathroom or bathtub without performing any large-scale remodeling on the bathroom or bathtub and can reduce human labor. SOLUTION: This bathing assisting device is provided with a first guide section 32 which guides a first holding section 321 holding a section 314 to be held so that a seat section 31 may be positioned on a washing place side in the vertical direction between first and second positions (1) and (2) both of which are faced to the washing place-side side wall 21 of a bathtub, a second guide section 33 which guides a second holding section holding the section 314 to be held so that the seat section 31 may be positioned in the bathtub in the vertical direction between third and fourth positions (3) and (4), and a third guide section 34 to and from which the section 314 of the seat section 31 and the first holding section 321 of the first guide section 32 can be attached and detached at the second position (2) and the section 314 of the seat section 31 and the second holding section 331 of a second guide section 33 can be attached and detached at the fourth position 4 and which guides the section 314 to be held between the second and fourth positions (2) and (4) in a state where the seat section 31 is detached.
