摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a structure capable of preventing the magnetic leakage of a magnetic pole part and controlling a distance between a yoke tip part and an opposing medium surface in a magnetic head slider used for high-density recording. SOLUTION: An upper magnetic pole posited to a lower magnetic pole via a magnetic gap layer is composed of a magnetic pole part, a magnetic pole column and a yoke part. The magnetic pole part has a parallel part extended to a deep side to be nearly a track width, and a fan-shaped part in a deep side more than its apex. The magnetic pole part has a magnetic gap with the lower magnetic pole from an opposing medium surface to the apex, and a gap with the lower magnetic pole is wider in the deep side more than the apex than the magnetic gap. The yoke part has its tip part connected to be overlapped on the magnetic pole part from the rear of a FEAB shallow groove depth from the opposing medium surface, and is extended from there into a coil and a coil insulating layer.
