PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cooling device for overheating wherein a motor life is prolonged by efficient fan control. SOLUTION: A control device 22 acquires a heat value from the switching frequency of a heating body 2 for deciding a fan drive temperature according to the heat value. Then a cooling fan 5 is turned on when the temperature of a coolant bath 3 detected with a temperature sensor 21 reaches a fan drive temperature. Here, the higher the heat value of the heating body 2, the lower the fan drive temperature to be set while the lower the heating value, the higher the fan drive temperature to be set. In short, the cooling fan 5 is turned on at the fan drive temperature T1 so that the temperature of the coolant bath 3 does not exceed a tolerable temperature Tmax when a heat value Q of the heating body 2 is high (Q=Q1), while the cooling fan 5 is turned on at a fan drive temperature T2 (T1<T2) when the heat value Q of the heating body 2 is lower (Q=Q2, Q2<Q1). Thus, the cooling fun 5 is efficiently driven.
