PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid drop ejecting head wherein variation of each of parameters of a thickness, a length of a short side and a gap of a diaphragm that may cause variation of a displacement position of the diaphragm is reduced in order to obtain a stable liquid drop ejection characteristic by suppressing variation of the ejection characteristic among channels in an electrostatic type ink jet head, thereby reducing the variation of the liquid ejection characteristic. SOLUTION: A width (A) of a pressure generating chamber 6 in a short side direction of the diaphragm formed on a liquid chamber substrate 1 is shorter than a length (C) of a short side of a displaceable region of the diaphragm 2 that forms a wall of the pressure generating chamber and doubles as a first electrode.
