PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper container wherein the container is easy to handle, a good sealed state can be obtained when a lid is closed, and easiness in taking out contents is improved. SOLUTION: The hexahedral paper container 10 formed by making a paper board into a box comprises a container body 12 and a lid member 14 hinged with a back face rim of an upper end opening surface 13 of the container body 12 for opening/closing the opening surface 13, while a recessed notch 16 extended from the upper end opening surface 13 is formed on a front face plate 15 of the container body 12. The lid member 14 comprises an upper surface lid 17 for covering the opening surface 13, a front lid 18 having a size to cover the recessed notch 16 and a pair of side face lids 19 interposed between a side rim of the upper surface lid 17 and a side rim of the front lid 18 for vertically joining the front lid 18 with the upper surface lid 17. A tongue-formed locking portion 26 for locking a lower end portion of the front lid 18 of the lid member 14 is provided on a lower part of the notch 16.
