PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an editor that can edit video data in a way of identifying a scene. SOLUTION: The editor that edits management information including reproduction sequence of a video stream, is provided with a reception section 11 that receives edit information to identify a part desirably to be edited by a user from the user in a reproduction sequence included in management information recorded on a digital recording medium in which the video stream and the original management information are recorded in advance, a generating section 12 that generates new reproduction sequence resulting from editing the part identified by the edit information on the basis of the original reproduction sequence so as to generate new management information including the new reproduction sequence, a provision section 13 that provides entry information denoting a position edited by a user's instruction in the new reproduction sequence to the new management information, and a recording section 14 that records the new management information to which the entry information is given onto the digital recording medium.
