PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drop-in lock for a door, in which the movement of a drop-in rod is also facilitated by a simple structure. SOLUTION: A main body 20 having a slot 24 formed inside an opening section 16 formed in a vertical frame 14 constituting the free end of the door 12 and continued to the opening section 16 and an engaging section 38 opposed to the inside of the vertical frame 14 by integral molding or the like is installed. A lock member 40 being installed oppositely to the main body 20 and having an engaged section 42 engaged with the engaging section 38 of the main body 20 and a slider 54 with an urging means 100 mounted on the lock member 40 and urging the lock member 40 to the main body 20 side are secured. The drop-in rod 88 set up to the slider 54 and a gripping member 74 fitted to the lock member 40 through a connecting member 84 having a rod shape or the like inserted into the slot 24 of the main body 20 and positioned to the opposite side face of the main body 20 are attached.
