PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plate heat exchanger, distributing evenly the flow of refrigerant, and a refrigerating cycle system equipped with the heat exchanger. SOLUTION: The plate heat exchanger is provided with a refrigerant distributing flow passage 12 for passing the refrigerant and different fluid flow passage 11 for passing a different fluid, whose heat is exchanged between the refrigerant, which are formed alternately through the plates 10c laminated in substantially horizontal direction, and a tubular refrigerant intake flow passage 14a formed so as to be penetrated through the lower part of the plates in the laminating direction of the plates and whose one end is opened while the other end is closed. In such a plate heat exchanger 10, a refrigerant distributing means 17, a refrigerant mixing means and a refrigerant flow direction changing means are provided in the refrigerant intake flow passage 14a to uniform the flow of refrigerant from the refrigerant intake flow passage 14a to the respective refrigerant distributing flow passages 12.
