PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a silver salt photothermographic dry imaging material having high image quality and excellent in silver tone, image preservability and physical properties of a film while using a small amount of silver and to provide an image recording method using the imaging material. SOLUTION: In the silver salt photothermographic dry imaging material having a photosensitive layer containing an organic silver salt, photosensitive silver halide grains, a reducing agent and a binder on a support, variation of fog density after irradiation with light at 45 deg.C and 300 lux illuminance for 24 hr after development at >=100 deg.C is <=30% of fog density before the irradiation.
