PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solenoid having excellent quality improved in abrasion resistance while maintaining responsiveness. SOLUTION: A seal ring 20 as a shutoff part is provided on a mounting groove formed on a center post 4 to shut off the space between the outside of a solenoid body 2 and a plunger chamber P, thus preventing an outside fluid from directly flowing in the plunger chamber P. Further, a filter 15 is set on a through-hole 61 formed in a rod 6 to prevent a contaminant or the like from intruding in a fluid receiving chamber Q.
