PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data reproducing apparatus which can search a target in a short time even if a storage medium having many tracks. SOLUTION: The data reproducing apparatus is provided with a reproducing part 100 which reads data from a DVD600 and reproduces the data, a track number key 310 for selecting and inputting the setting of a track 510 to be reproduced by the reproducing part 100 as a track number 5100, a skip key 320 for shifting the setting of the track 510 to the next track 510 from the current track 510, and a reproduction control part 400 which shifts the setting of the track 510 to the track 510 selected and inputted at the current track 510 and reproduces successively the partial sector of each track 510 between both tracks 510 in the shift process when the input operations of the track number key 310 and the skip key 320 are performed simultaneously.
