PURPOSE: Sand-sized loess with rigidness and no dissolution in water is provided for use in construction field by sintering loess compact and grinding sintered compact to a sand size. CONSTITUTION: The construction material, sand-sized loess, is produced by the following steps: mixing loess with water; compression forming loess-dough into a fixed size; drying a compact in the shade for 15days; firing at 1000-1500deg.C; grinding sintered loess compact to sand-sized powder.
