PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical disk playback device capable of reproducing audio data recorded in an optical disk in synchronization with external synchronization information without altering the specifications and without significantly changing the device. SOLUTION: The optical disk playback device 10 is provided with a data synchronization part 20 in a data decoding part 18 for playing back the optical disk 12 conforming to the DVD audio specifications. The data synchronization part 20 has a function of reproducing the audio data by synchronizing the timing for playing back the optical disk 12 with an external synchronization signal given from outside. The optical disk playback device 10 does not require alteration of the specifications nor require significant alteration of the playback device to reproduce the audio data of the optical disk 12 in synchronization with the external synchronization information supplied from the outside.
