摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a diffractive optical element having a laminated structure and a diffractive optical element having a laminated structure so that the positioning process can be simplified in the process of forming a diffractive optical element having a laminated structure by laminating diffractive optical elements and that the diffractive optical element having a desired laminated structure can be mass-produced at a low cost, to provide an optical system having the diffractive optical element having a laminated structure, and to provide an imaging device, display device and observation device having the above optical system. SOLUTION: In the method for manufacturing the diffractive optical element having a laminated structure of two or more layers, the gap distance in the layers is measured by using the inclined part formed in the diffractive optical elements when the diffractive optical elements are to be laminated so as to position the elements as desired.
