PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To use in common the first current control and drive element forming a DC voltage stabilizing circuit and the second current control and drive element forming an over-current protection circuit. SOLUTION: When a positive power supply voltage is supplied across a power supply terminal of an error amplifier 32 from an auxiliary power supply circuit, a voltage at an output terminal of the error amplifier 32 varies within the range of positive power supply voltage supplied from the auxiliary power supply circuit. Therefore, the second current control and drive element connected to the output terminal of the error amplifier 32 can be operated using a positive voltage Vout generated on the positive output voltage line 26, as the reference voltage like the first current control and drive element forming the DC voltage stabilizing circuit 21. Therefore, the first and second current control and drive elements may be replaced with single transistor 51.
