摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a horizontal deflection device that is applicable to a cathode ray tube display system whose aspect ratio can be selected so as to control a horizontal deflection width and a deflection correction parameter in a way of being adapted to a selected aspect ratio. SOLUTION: The horizontal deflection device comprises a deflection winding (Lh), a source (Q2) of a deflection current (iL) coupled to the deflection winding, and an S correction capacitance (Cs) coupled to the deflection winding. The S correction capacitance provides a certain resonance frequency together with the deflection winding, and the horizontal deflection device also comprises a 1st switching means (Q3) that couples the deflection winding to an inductance (Wb) to change the horizontal deflection width and 2nd switching means (D2, D3) that change the resonance frequency and the amount of S correction in response to the 1st switching means.
