PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To constitute a dielectric filter which has a superior spurious characteristics by decreasing a spurious mode other than a TEM mode, using a simple configuration. SOLUTION: A dielectric block 1 of a substantially rectangular solid shape is provided with excitation holes 9, 10 which comprise internal conductor formation holes 2a to 2c, formed respectively with internal conductors 3a to 3c in internal surfaces and internal surface electrodes, and an external conductor 4 is formed on an external surface thereof. I/O electrodes 5, 6 are formed, by providing external conductor non-formation parts 7, 8 which extends from one opening surfaces of the excitation holes 9, 10 to mounting surfaces, to electrically connect to the internal surface electrodes of the excitation holes 9, 10. The other ends of the internal surface electrodes of the excitation holes 9, 10 are short-circuited to the eternal conductor 4. Electrode non-forming parts 13, 14 are provided on this short-circuit surface, thereby controlling an earth current which flows from the internal surface electrodes of the excitation holes 9, 10 to the external conductor 4 on the mounting surface side of the dielectric block 1.
