PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a superconductor cooling device capable of suppressing cost and installation space without damaging the function of a superconductor upon the trouble of a refrigerator.SOLUTION: Provided is a superconductor cooling device 1 comprising: a sub-cooling tank 30 storing a secondary coolant cooling a coolant provided, in a circulation passage 7, at the circulation passage on the downstream side than a superconductor 3 and on the upstream side than a heat exchanger 21; a sub-heat exchanger 31 provided at the inside of the tank and cooling the coolant cooled the superconductor by heat exchange with the secondary coolant; a pressure reduction means 35 of reducing pressure at the inside of the sub-cooling tank and cooling the secondary coolant; a temperature detection means 32 of detecting the temperature of the secondary coolant; a trouble detection means 51 capable of detecting the trouble state of a refrigerator 10; and a control part 50 of judging the presence/absence of the trouble of the refrigerator based on the information from the trouble detection means, and, when the trouble of the refrigerator is judged, controlling the pressure reduction means in such a manner that the temperature of the secondary coolant detected by the temperature detection means reaches a prescribed temperature capable of cooling the superconductor via the coolant.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
