PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multifunctional image sensing system available not only for sensing a color image but also for sensing a highly sharp monochromatic image. SOLUTION: In the image sensing system for sensing the color image or monochromatic image by inputting reflected light containing a visible beam reflected from an object, this system is provided with an infrared light source 210 for irradiating the object with infrared rays, an infrared light source control part 220 for sensing the strength of the visible beam reflected from the object and turning on the infrared light source when the strength of the visible beam reflected from the object is equal to or lower than a reference value, a light guiding part 230 for guiding the light reflected from the object, and a color image sensor 240 for sensing the color image or monochromatic image by receiving the light reflected from the object through the light guiding part.
