SAMPLING METHOD AND SAMPLING DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the performance of random sampling. SOLUTION: This sampling deice comprises a first sampling circuit 14 for sampling the data signal 22 from a device 12 to be tested; second sampling circuits 17, 18 for sampling clock references 24 and 25 having a known periodic relation with the data signal 22; a timing circuit 16 for ensuring the known time relation among the samplings executed by the first and second sampling circuits 14, 17 and 18; and a calculating circuit element 19 for determining in which phase of the clock references the sample value of the data signal 22 is generated by use of the sample value information from the clock references.
