PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a square aperture antenna in common use for polarized waves that can efficiently radiate a vertically polarized wave and a horizontally polarized wave from its square aperture with excellent isolation and a low-profile configuration. SOLUTION: First and second rectangular waveguides 14a, 14b orthogonal to a guide axis direction are respectively opened to adjacent wall faces of a square waveguide 12 whose one end is open and whose other end has a short-circuit board 12a by deviating positions in the guide axis direction and linearly polarized waves whose polarized planes are orthogonal are respectively propagated from the first and second rectangular waveguides 14a, 14b to the square waveguide 12. A grid 20 is placed between guide axis directional positions at which the first and second rectangular waveguides 14a, 14b are opened side by side in crossing with the square waveguide 12. The grid 20 is placed in parallel with the polarized wave plane of the linearly polarized wave propagated from the first rectangular waveguide 14a placed at its aperture and orthogonal to the polarized wave plane of the linearly polarized wave propagated from the second rectangular waveguide 14b connected side by side to the short-circuit board 12a.
