PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To appropriately control a refrigerator with an ultraviolet lamp and a photo-deodorizing filter for performing the sterilization and deodorization. SOLUTION: The refrigerator comprises the lamp for irradiating ultraviolet rays, the photocatalyst filter for receiving the ultraviolet rays, an operation means for setting a sterilization mode and releasing the mode, and a control device for lighting the lamp occasionally while the sterilization mode is released. In this case, the refrigerator is deodorized even when the sterilization mode is released.
